6 Classic Wedding Favor Ideas That Never Go Out of Style

by vietwedding

Want to give your guests a thoughtful, useful and personalized wedding favor? Of course you do. But how do you make sure you offer something that doesn’t get left on the tables? Allison Aronne, event planner and partner at Fête NY in New York City, shares her favorite unforgettable favor recommendations right here.

1. Pay It Forward

You don’t have to give guests a physical gift. Make a donation to a charity you support and let your guests know with a note or themed treat, like dog-shaped cookies for the ASPCA.

Need philanthropy ideas? Donate to VOW, the charity campaign raising money for the Girls First Fund to end child marriage worldwide. Every year, 12 million girls are married before turning 18, cutting off their education and putting them at risk for violence and poverty. VOW funds local organizations all over the globe advocating girls’ rights and standing up against child marriage at the community level. (See how easy it is to link VOW to your retail registry though The Knot Gifts Back  here.)

2. Champagne for Later

Send guests home with splits of champagne to keep the party going even after the last dance. Get crafty if you want and cover each mini bottle with sparkles or a customized label with your names and wedding date.

3. Sweet Treats

Send your loved ones home with a homemade favor, like brownies, doughnuts or bite-size cookies, from your favorite local spot. Package them to match your wedding style or theme.

4. Everyday Essentials

Gift them something they can use and enjoy on your wedding day and beyond, like a hat, pashminas or flip-flops. Candles are also a fabulous favor idea that lasts a long time.

5. Refreshments for the Road

If your wedding has valet parking, include bottled water, popcorn or cups of hot cocoa in the cars. It’ll be a fun surprise and make the drive home so much better.

6. Picture Perfect

Instead of a traditional favor, surprise your guests after your “I dos.” Send everyone a handwritten thank-you card and include a professional photograph of them from your wedding.
