Bigger is not always better and these wedding cakes are proof! A single-layer wedding cake can make just as large of an impact at your reception, especially when you add a creative cake topper like glittery hearts or fresh flowers. One tip to pulling off the simple single-layer wedding cake: Create a cake and wedding dessert table that showcases a few different flavors and fillings and get creative with the presentation. Pretty cake stands in the same color palette with different textures (like porcelain and milk glass) would translate nicely for a vintage wedding. Or create a very streamlined and modern style using all matching cake stands in different heights. Finish off the table with a fun colorful backdrop or even a wedding banner that reads, “Eat Cake And Be Married” or simply “I Do.”
