Destination Weddings: Prewedding Site Inspection?

Q:

Do I have to have to visit my ceremony/reception site before the wedding? Should I go more than once?

A:

We firmly believe that one visit to your site before the wedding is absolutely essential — the pictures on a website can sometimes be deceiving and it’s important to know exactly what you are getting. You’ll likely see something — a view you love, a room you want to avoid, a “pool rules” sign you want temporarily removed — that you wouldn’t have noticed otherwise. Some couples also do a second visit to confirm any last-minute details or changes and to make sure everything is in order, but that isn’t always necessary.
