Easy Ways to Document Your Honeymoon

Easy Ways to Document Your Honeymoon

If you’re planning an amazing trip, you’ll want to bring back some major memories. Here are five creative ways to do it.

1. Document Early

Don’t wait until you get to your honeymoon location to start taking photos. Take photos in the airport or car to capture the excitement you will already be feeling. After all, these are your first few days as a married couple, and they’ll make for great additions to the photo album.

2. Bring Home the Taste

Whether you fall in love with those fruity tropical drinks from the resort pool or the amazing empanadas from a local restaurant, be sure to get the recipe (and any specialty cookware) before you head home. That way, any time you feel like being whisked back to your honeymoon spot, all you have to do is re-create the recipe at home.

4. Bring Back Local Home Decor

Take home a souvenir that you’ll be able to display in your home. Whether it’s a piece of traditional artwork, handmade pottery, or even a locally made blanket, a piece of home decor is an easy way to remind you of your trip.

4. Plan an Adventure Activity

For a memory that you’ll never forget, step outside of your comfort zone and try at least one activity that neither of you have ever done before. Whether it’s extreme (like skydiving or swimming with manta rays!) or more tame (trying a new food like sea urchin or taking a belly dancing class), the experience will be one you’ll share forever.

5. Create Your Own Honeymoon Video Blog

Bring along a handheld camera to document your travels and adventures. Include a few “interviews” of each other about your favorite parts of the trip. Use video editing software to compile the clips into a vacation documentary to share with friends or watch every year on your anniversary.
