Are you a crier? Plenty of women (and men!) cry, even during the happy moments. It’s totally okay if you can’t stop crying from the second you wake up the morning of your wedding till the end of the reception (and maybe even after that!). What’s not okay? The side effects of all those tears (swelling, mascara running). So how do you prepare for a happy cry on your wedding day? We asked one of our favorite wedding planners, Annie Lee, founder of Daughter of Design, to share her tips and tricks. “If you feel yourself totally losing it try a few mental tricks like thinking of how fun the dancing and partying is going to be later or distract yourself thinking if the reception is being set up correctly,” she says. “Basically think of something that evokes a different emotion like excitement or even stress if that gets those waterworks to stop.” And just like you should have a wedding dress emergency kit on hand, you might also want to pack a side back just for those happy tears. Annie’s picks below!
