Tone it Up co-founder Karena Dawn and her husband Bobby Gold, an entrepreneur, celebrated their wedding day on the dreamy island cove of Kauai in Hawaii, the same place where they first expressed their love for each other. “We were dating for just four months, and we sat on the beach daydreaming,” Dawn told the Knot in an exclusive interview. “And we said, ‘If this all works out, we should get married here.’ So… three years later, that’s what we did.” See the details of their stunning Hawaii wedding here.

Floating candles in a variety of sizes and tropical flora in greens and yellows were the picture of understated elegance.

“One of our favorite decor acents was the place cards and menu,” said the bride. “We used one of my paintings.” The same breathtaking sea-greens, yellows and blues of her painting were incorporated throughout the wedding.

Place cards were arranged over light grey pebbles and stones to compliment the tranquil feel of their ceremony.

Less populated than Hawaii’s more popular destinations, the Island of Kauai is also known as “The Garden Island” for its pure, naturally oxygen-rich air and lush green landscape.

The couple visited the island months ahead of time to kickstart the planning process, including cake and menu tastings at the St. Regis Princeville Resort. “It was important for us to keep the planning simple and low-key so that we could enjoy every moment,” the bride said of choosing a destination wedding.

The pair exchanged their vows in a secluded beach cove on the island of Kauai: the very place they pledged to get married as a new couple.
