Here’s How Many Couples Are Getting Married on the Fourth of July

While many of us are starting to pack up for the beach or plan a neighborhood potluck, 2,174 couples are gearing up for their nuptials this Fourth of July. July 4 falls on a Wednesday in 2018, but since it’s a national holiday when many offices will be closed, it’s the perfect opportunity to gather loved ones together for a festive midweek wedding (and it’s not a bad way to kick off the summer either!).

Our stats show that 108,900 of The Knot users are getting married in July, with the weekend following the Fourth of July coming in as the third most popular wedding weekend of the month (13,707 couples plan to say “I do” on Saturday, July 7).

Here’s exactly how many couples are getting married the week of the Fourth of July.

Sunday, 7/1: 3,679 weddings

Monday, 7/2: 1,345 weddings

Tuesday, 7/3: 1,615 weddings

Wednesday, 7/4: 2,174 weddings

Thursday, 7/5: 1,490 weddings
