Marriage Requirements for Australia

Residency Requirement: None

Necessary Documents: Notice of Intended Marriage form (available from any Australian embassy or consulate), to be signed by an Australian Diplomatic Officer or an Australian Consular Official and filed with the officiant a minimum of one month before the ceremony. You’ll also need to show your passports, birth certificates; evidence of how any previous marriage ended (copies of divorce, decrees or death certificates).
