Q&A: Invitations: When to Send for a Destination Wedding?

by vietwedding
Q:

I am getting married in Las Vegas in August. When should invitations be sent to give guests enough time to make travel arrangements?

A:

You should send official invites about two months before the wedding, but you can let guests know about the event earlier with save-the-date cards. It’s not too soon to look for hotel group rates, send your guests accommodations and rental car info, and ask them to pencil in your wedding on their long-term calendars. Especially when you’re marrying in a tourist spot, it’s best to plan as far ahead as possible and help your guests do that, too.
