The Budget-Friendly Bouquet Trend We Didn’t See Coming

by vietwedding

A bouquet by definition (thanks, Google) is “an attractively arranged bunch of flowers, especially one presented as a gift or carried at a ceremony.” So single-stem bouquets—the latest trend in wedding florals—go against everything we’ve been taught about, well, bouquets. But we’re still obsessing over them nonetheless.

And while we predicted they’d be popular in our 2018 Wedding Trend Report, we had no idea they’d be this big.

Our only advice on how to pull it off? For maximum drama, opt for a flower with a sculptural stem—like an oversize tropical leaf, peony, king protea or calla lily. But you can really make it work no matter what your taste in florals (or wedding season) is. Whether you want a rose, dahlia or hydrangea, there’s a chic, minimalist single-stem bouquet that’s perfect for you.

Oh, and here’s the best part—single-stem bouquets are, of course, more budget-friendly than a bundle of 20 blooms. The trend also echoes the laid back, less-fussy themes we’re seeing across the board in weddings lately (we’re talking wedding dresses, hair, makeup and so on). Either way, we’re totally on board with this blossoming vibe.
