Wedding Details: One Wedding Favor Per Guest or Per Couple?

Q:

Do you have to give wedding favors to every guest, or can you give them per couple? I picked a wedding favor that’s a bit expensive.

A:

It’s totally fine to give favors per couple. The only problem may be with guests who are singles — obviously, you should give them their own, so that no one feels left out. Where to place them on the table is a little tricky. The solution: Use place cards. Often people use just table cards, which directs guests to specific tables, where they can sit in any seat they choose. With place cards, you put their name in an exact spot at a specific table. Place each favor halfway between the two place cards of a couple, so they’ll be able to see it’s for both of them, and directly above or on top of the service plate for singles. That way, you can be sure everyone gets a little something!
