A traditional wedding with a predetermined palette colors just wouldn’t do for California couple Gillian and John. Working alongside the team of pros at Luxe Events in San Diego, the couple pulled off a “Granola-Glam” celebration at the San Diego Botanic Gardens, rich in bright colors (“I wanted every color of the rainbow. I didn’t want to limit myself,” says Gillian), and shimmery accents, with a few vintages touches mixed in for a rustic vibe.
Bunches of tropical flower in a spectrum of vibrant hues by Isari Flower Studio + Event Design lit up the reception tables and Gillian’s king protea, berry and pincushion bouquet stole the show. Mismatched vintage chairs, a fabric ceremony backdrop and wooden ceremony benches brought a whimsical note to the ceremony and reception, while modern stationery with playful graphics by Elum Designs showed off Gillian and John’s playful personalities.
